Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to present a long Futures & Options (F&O) position as of March 31st on a balance sheet. It suggests treating it as an investment valued at market price or adjusting it within proprietor's capital. Any profit or loss realised will be accounted for in the financial year the position is closed. The treatment of margin and exposure amounts should be detailed in the broker's ledger.

You may consider it as investment based on Market value or you may adjust in proprietor capital.

Profit or loss will be for FY in which the position is closed
And the treatment of spam and exposure margin show in broker ledger
