there is this clause in a rent agreement -

Nothing herein contained shall be construed as creating any right, title or interest, tenancy or sub-tenancy in favour of the Licensee in over or upon the said licensed premises or as transferring and interest therein in favour of the Licensee other than the Leave and License hereby expressly granted.

I want to understand the clause.
Kindly help me with the same by mentioning the clause in an understandable manner.

Dear Bhavini,

Do not get confused. It's simple. This is a License agreement. The licensor says to the licensee that he (i.e the licensee) has only been given the license to use the premises for a particular period, but he (i.e the licensee) does not become the owner or tenant of the licensed premises.
