@ Bipin
I notice you failed to understand my previous reply.
What I am pointing out is that all your interaction about the issue has been between you and AIS.
You really do not know whether SBI reported to IT Department wrongly.
Do you?

@ Ranjan I do know what is not clear.
1) there is a SB account with 3 people as joint holders
2) FD opened in the primary account holder
3) SBI reported the FD to all 3 joint account holders under SFT
4) the same setup is in Karnataka Bank, but they correctly reported the FD only under the primary account holder

@ Ranjan I am a simple person, sorry if I didn't get what you are trying to educate me with, I am not as smart. Evidently I am slow learner too.
Yes, the issues could very well be with the IT department and not the bank itself. The issue happened during the first year of the new IT portal launch, so it could be a bug.
I would leave the issue here. Like I said, I am not going to take any action as I do not forsee any issues.

BIPIN, the same problem is being faced by many people. I.e rejection of taxpayer feedback by source. You might even get a notice. Therefore I suggest you file a greviance on the matter. Taxpayers are doing that.
Hope this helps.

After the first failure to get the mistake corrected, @ Bipin does not wish to again prod the sleeping .. and bite him.
So let him be, what he feels is safe.

CPC is the agency operating AIS, TIS and , for sometime, TRACES (for TDS info) portals.
I suppose, Grievance for each portal should be raised through the same portal, and, appropriate team in CPC would attend to it.

I have not yet prodded a sleeping dragon ( or tiger ), so unable to provide any clue.
However, if you are keen to do it, keep handy all your feedback stuff and start the process. You will come to know first hand, and could inform other souls in this forum about your experience.

We all are waiting for @ Bipin to post his experience on filing his grievance.
If he does, that would throw more light on this very critical issue.
Is there any help page in AIS/TIS portal about filing Grievance?

Both our mutual fund holdings are in Dmat, and we don't get any statements from the AMC. Also, in the feedback section of AIS, there is no provision to attach mutual fund statements. This duplicate reporting by AMC should be stopped by the income tax department, and AMC should report only for first holder since only he is liable to pay capital gains tax normally.
I have now submitted another feedback a d mentioned about joint account issue. Is there anything else I can do?
