Claim for Form 16A

Hi,

My employer gives Form 16A. When we claim for refund, can we show HRA, Conveyance details as well along with 80C? If so, what is the procedure for doing it? Do we need to submit the house rent receipts to the IT department directly?

Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

form 16A is not for employees but for "contract workers/ professionals" where u have to take the payment as professional income, HRA and other prequisites are not available for non-employees, but 80C benefit u can claim

Agree with Mr. Sharma.

Since you are receiving the Form 16A, meaning you might have been employed as a professional, hence do one thing prepare your profit & loss account, calculate the net profit and claim your TDS.

As far as the HRA exemption and the perquisites are there, you cann't claim them, as you r not legally receiving a salary.
