dude u have a good  profile but frankly speakg CMA will not give you so much prospect in your career

on the other side if you are thinkg to go for CIMA after completing CMA then it will surely enhance your value

For CIMA

after completg cma you can get exemption of 11 subject in cima but for claimg exemption of 11 subject you have to appear CPGA exam conducted by CIMA institute the fees for CPGA is 15000

Futher ACMA or FCMA can also get exemption in IMA (usa) and IPA (australia )

that i know but dont i will have a edge on finance after cma and what can be the possible hike in salary after cma and cima

that i know but dont i will have a edge on finance after cma and what can be the possible hike in salary after cma and cima?

after completg CMA you will get salary in the range of 2- 5.5 lakh .

The salary for cma will depend upon your knowledge and experience

salary after completing CIMA will be between 8- 11 lakhs starting

at present  my ctc is 3.6 L p.a in kolkata , how much increment can i fetch for after icwai , an idea?

Hi Ayan, if you want to work in Indian companies as finance professional, then I don't think CIMA is going to add more values. Indian companies prefer Chartered/Cost Accountants for finance jobs. Since you are already having a professional qualification and also some experience, so u can expect a good growth. Initially u may not get very good hike, since job market is not that good. still u can expect a package of 5-6 lakhs. After completing CWA, the best thing u will have is two different types of qualifications and generally for higher positions companies prefer those candidates who can look after secretarial & legal matters along with accounts, finance and MIS..

In India, CWA and CIMA both are one of the same line of courses only. I suggest you to better go for CWA

CIMA  is better once u go overseas ...

in INDIA it has less scope as these are highly paid professionals ....so only mncs and afford these people ..ie as per salary report given by CIMA .. and avg salary mentioned for newly qualified cima is 20 lakhs

Dear Friend,

I completed My CA, Now doing CIMA.. Will it enahance my carrier opportunites or weather it will give me an opportunity to go overseas for job. Kindly help me by lighiting some light on job prospectous and carrier path for a professional having both the degree.

in INDIA ..CA is top thats it ... if u want to go outside INDIA , CIMA has a good value in euro zone and south east asian countreis . definitely it will enhance ur career and u should note these cima people dont deal with accoutns and auditing .. so if ur intereted in management and finance this course is like a money machine for u if u have worth ..

Dear all

what is the career growth if i do the course cima at 47 years

dear sir , i mentioned earlier CA is top in INDIA . If u have any professional degree CA or CMA (INDIA )then the entry to CIMA is little bit easy or else u want to start the course from starting its absolute waste of time , and even u dont consider the time facotor  in INDIA CA / CMA people are given first preference as they are mostly associated with INDIAN RULES AND REGULATIONS . In India CIMA is just like an additional degree ... but when u go other countreis in europe and south east asian countries (mainly malaysia and honkong ) there is a huge demand of these cima people ... and 47 years of age is not a factor to consider to pursue this course ... plz visit cimaglobal.com for other details .
