A lady buys goods worth rs.200 from a shop. (Shopkeeper selling the goods with zero profit). The lady gives him 1000 rs note. The shopkeeper gets the change from the next shop and keeps 200 for himself and returns rs.800 to d lady. Later the shopkeeper of the next shop comes with the 1000rs note saying "duplicate" and takes his money back. How much LOSS did the shopkeeper face?

A SHOPKEEPER FACE LOSS OF RS.2000.

His loss is Rs. 1,200/-

Seller has total loss of rs1000 which he has to pay to other shopkeeper . The first shopkeeper has recovered rs 200 already so now he has to incur only rs 1000 for payment to second shopkeeper ,this rs 1000 is the actual loss to first shopkeeper

am i correct or not please reply

shopkeeper beared a sum of Rs 2200/- loss

bcous the lady nothing given to shopkeeper and shopkeeper return 800+ 200 (goods)

and Rs 1000 returned to another shopkeeper so total loss money = 2000/-

+ his cost of goods = 200

so total loss = 800+200+1000+200= 2200/-

reply me am i ri8  ?

800 given to lady + 1000 given to next shopkeeper = rs 1800.

i think loss is rs 2000, ie; 1000 rs paid to the shopkeeper and 800+200(goods) given to customer

rply whether i m rit of wrng

Total Loss of Rs. 2000.

Rs. 1000 returned to the other shopkeeper

Rs. 800 returned to the buyer lady

& Rs. 200 of Goods sold.

total loss of Rs 1800

I think there is loss of Rs. 1800/-

Rs. 800 given to lady & Rs. 1000 returned to shopkeeper.

The correct answer is Rs. 1000/-

1. Loss =Amount given to lady Rs. 800 + 200(goods) = 1000

2. There is no need to consider the amount which is given to another shop keeper as the same amount taken by giving fake note hence net effect will be NIL.

Thanks

 Rs .2000 loss

correct ans is Rs1000/- (800 cash and 200 value of goods).smiley
