Chartered cost accountants to be new designation

Friends,

We are seeing how ICWAI is fighting with CA for the sake name change. we can explore such name which will be acceptable to bot Insitutes. Management Accounting should not be regulated by any single institution not even by IIMs. As defination of Management accounting goes much more beyond boundary of accounting profession. But still we should promote our ICWAI for betterment of overall Accounting profession.

Some of my Names suggested for ICWAI are asfollowing

1.The Institute of Certified Cost Accountants of India ( ICCAI)

2.The Institute of Cost Management Accountants of India (ICMAI, but and should be removed , it may be acceptable to both Institutes)

3.The Indian Institute of Cost Accountants (IICA)

4.The Indian Institute of Cost Management (IICM)

5.The Institute of Chartered Cost Accountants of India ( CCA)

Please judge yourself which one may be acceptable to both Institutes and current fighting should be ended to save accounting profession image.

I think ICCAI is the best option.

yes... thats y appreciated u..keep it up..but these amendments never takes place with the view of general public. It took long time to amend the name, and that too nobody would have thought abt this kind of change. All were thinking icmai or no change. With so much of rumors in the past both r running in the same manner. And it will continue in future also. So leave the matter with both the institutes and indian government.

I think Cost & Management Accountant is proper. CWAs are not doing only cost management.

If some one feels that subject " Management " is not the only monopoly of any single Institute so nobody should be allowed to use that word, how fair it is ? If that is the reason why this argument is not applied to Indian Institute of Management ?

Earlier ICAI has disputes with Chartered Financial Analysts' institute also for using the word "Chartered" as per my knowledge.

Member (Account Deleted) the user of this account is maintaining multiple accounts in CCI. this is pertaining to the person name Raj Kumar Gupta. I still remember that I had replied to his message when he had posted his message.

I m not saying that its wrong but not sure why the user is maintaining multiple accounts and wt is the motive behind that.
