Charitable activty or not

There are few charitable institutions that maintain cowshed and ask for donation to support the cows. They offer to take care of a cow for 1 year, 5 years 10 years or a life time on the doner's behalf. The donation is eligible for exemption u/s 80G. One will have to look at the documents provided by the charitable institutions at the time of donation.
