Change of invoice format

Hello,

Im currently using manual invoicing .

I have bought tally now , want to migrate to computer billing.

Can i change to computer invoice ?

My accountant said , need to give letter to sales tax department about the change of invoice format .

 

Is this true ?

Or i can change to computer invoice

No need to intimate sale tax dept. ,1it was in earlier law
just make sure that both series is different

generally its better to computer inv on 1st april. we did so ourselves.
