Change in business name
Sir, I have registerd under GST with the business name KASHF TEA TRADERS.Now I want to change it with KASHF TRADERS, Whether I can edit it with existing GST number or I have to apply fresh with new name? plz guide.

As per rule 19 of the CGST rule 2017 , Change in name of Business is core amendment under GST registration , so if any core amendment you have to take Approval form GST Tax officer along with required documents before amendment in change of your Business name . After approval you can file changes on GSTN common portal .

you should login your existing GST No with credentials
go to dashboard - services - core fields and edit the name of your business and submit with OTP your new name will be updated with in 7 working days

Its not a fresh registration , as per rule 19 of the CGST rule 2017 one has to take approval form GST Tax officer for any core amendment in the GST registration . please go through rule 19 , one can not overrule GST rules .
For Changes In Business Name you need to go through ammendment through Login-User Services
