Chairman speech

Meetings 656 views 2 replies

Hello Freinds

Wanted to learn something.

"This does not purport to be record of proceedings of the AGM." - This sentence invariably appears at bottom of Chairman speech.
What is legality or compulsion to print this ?
What happens if it is not printed ?

Thanks and regards.

Dear Amisha,

This line is given at the end of the Chairman’s Speech, when it is printed. The reason for putting this is, that the print version is issued only once the AGM gets over and this speech should not be taken by the people as the proceedings of that AGM, or should I say minutes of the AGM and that, it is just a copy of what the Chairman said at the meeting.

Otherwise, people may take the speech as the minutes of the meeting.

Hope it was clear…if not, please feel free to ask.

Thankyou so much Sir,  you explained this so well.
