Chairman of General Meeting

Hi Neha,

Yes, a director can be appointed as Chairman of General Meeting of Share holders even if he is not a member of the company. Also check your Articles in this regard.

Also check "Regulation 50 of Table A" which talks about the same.

I would also like to add here that the Chairman of the Board shall be the Chairman of the General Meeting also whether he is shareholder of the Company of not.
