hi all !!

I have cleared my PE2 exams in May07. Currently i am undergoing my articleship and coachings for CA Final (attempt due in Nov 09).   I wish to do CFA.

Can you please help me out that whether to go for Indian CFA or US CFA?? Please  let me know the reasons or whats the differences between the two. I have no restraint for giving the overseas exams.

I heard from some people that in future there are chances of Indian CFA getting Balance Sheet signing rights.

Also i heard that in India also there are two universities providing CFA i.e Manipur and Hyderabad.

I am in great confusion??

Please help me.

Thanks And Regards.

hi smita i m abhishek sharma who is ca. finalist and also completed cfa group a,b,c by icfai. after gettin permission from icai by form no. 112 u should not worry about it . abhishek, only hyderabad university provide u cfa degree. but ur study material come from tripura university. each group consist of 4 module consist of 13 books each group . u cant give two group together.

no offences... but from industry point indian CFA does hold as much credibility as CFA US... CFA US gives u a global platform n cover due its presence in some 149 countries...

but u can only do it after Bcom

CFA from US based Institute is much better from ICFAI. CFA from US is worldwide recoginsed and moreover MNC working India give emphasis to CFA holder from US institute.

As per suprement court judegment US CFA has ceased it all operation in India. So if u want to pursue CFA from USA, u can apply for it but u can't sit in exam in India.. but u r free to appear in exam which will held in other countriies like Nepal or Pakistan.

Hi,

it is advisable to go for USA option if you don't have any prob. because it is globally accepted and have multiple global  opprotunity.

wish you all the best for your exams .....

Raj, It is true that   there are some problems intentionaly created for US-CFA. It is just to establish monopoly of some indian institutes providing CFA-IND. But the seen up to this date is such like that CFA_US always gets able to get the permossion for the center in Indian locations. Nowadays it is held in Mumbai and other three cities are in progress. So no need to worry about that issue.
