we are service provider of labour charges & errection & commission. Can we take canvat credit on telephone bills & Rent a cab services of these input services.

As per Rule 2(l) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004, the definition of Input Services specifically excludes renting of motor vehicle, if such motor vehicle is not a capital good.
Therefore, renting of cab shall not amount to input service and accordingly, cenvat credit on the same cannot be taken
