Ineligible Input Tax Credit (ITC) and Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) - Practical Understanding & Compliance
We have availed the credit on UPS batteries which is use for plant.
so what...??
what is your query....???
can we avail the credit yes or no?
Yes provided that the plant is used for manufacturing of Dutiable products
Any input which is used in or in relation to the manufacturer of final product within the factory of production is entitle for Cenvat Credit except the items mentioned in Sec 2(K) of the Cenvat Credit Rule 2004.
check the sub heading of your item , as it does not fall under catagory of capital goods, so input credit inadmissible.
Yes and if it is capital goods then 50% in the same year and balance in the subsequent year
Batterry falls under 8506. Hence qualifies as capital goods eligible for cenvat credit. 50% in first year and balance in subsequent years
