In Rule 9 of CCR,2004 it is the credit can be taken under the cover of invoice issued by importer , pls clarify why importer will issue invoice .....pls clarify with a short example , if possible.

CENVAT credit can avail on the basis of Bill of entry if you are a direct importer and if you buy goods from an importer, the inovice issued by the Importer is an eligible documents for claiming CENVAT Credit.

Sir, If you are direct importer, credit can be avail on basis of bill of entry. If importer is selling goods to you, he will clear the same under his dealership invoice - where you can avail duties passed on by him. |

Import invoice, supported by the custom bill of entry is eligible document for claiming the cenvat credit.
