Please guide regarding Service Tax Registration.
1) If i am a gujarat based company want to provide taxable service in tamilnadu do i need ST registration in Tamilnadu too?
2) If yes, than shall i apply for registration in gujarat centralize for taking different types of credit or do it individually as accounting is done in gujarat only.
Do u mean u have braches in other states? If so and if centralized acccounting & billing is done from Gujarat, then centralized registration from Gujarat can be taken (no need of separate registraion for each place).
If u dont have any other branches, then single registration from GJ is sufficient.
Actually Ma'am the company has just stablished and there are very different view of opinion. One said go for centralized registration but RIGHT now we dont have any branch registered, but its for sure that we will provide service in other states, we dont need a branch, so how i can register centrally.
An other consultant said that we will need in all states ST registration and a single Centrally registered in gujarat. so bit confused.
