Sir,
I am starting new ssi unit as packing of sweet souff (feenel seeds) & dhanadal in small pouches.
I would like to know the Central Excise exemption limit for this unit and relavant notification, if any.

yes you can avail ssi exemption
upto 150 lakh no duty is required to be paid
Upto 1.50 Crore, no duty is required to pay.
If you can take cenvat for your input material, you have to register with excise and pay duty for 60% of your invoice amount. This is will adjust in your cenvat amount also
