Central excise

dear all,

                  my one of client who have no record for there excise paymnet & return from fy 2007-08 to till date , they have regulary collecting  excise but i am unable to get any details relates to paymnet & return from client accounts & file , we also did not want to go excise inspector for the same,

can any one please guide me how can i get any information regarding paymnet & return
