Our client manufactures furnitures and there turnover reached 1.3cr for FY 2010-2011.
Please suggest whether central excise registration is required or not???????

No registration is required till the turonver reaches Rs. 1.5 crore. The limit for SSI Unit is Rs. 1.5 cr. However, the assessee can avail SSI exemption in the current FY if the turnover in the last FY did not corssed Rs. 4 cr.
