CEN VAT credit on structural platform

Hi,

Can we claim CEN VAT credit on Structural Platform. Previously we have taken credit treat it as part of plant and machinery but now excise department people are objecteing. If we can claim under which chapter it will fall.

Please help me out.

Praveen [/br] [nbsp] You can take credit if structural platform was part of Plant & Machinery. [/br] Rule 2 of Cenvat credit rules, 2004 defines capital goods as the capital goods used in relation to manufacture of final product.
