These amendments takes effect from 1st April, 2018 and will, accordingly, apply in relation to the assessment year 2018- 19 and subsequent years.

This Amendment is proposed in the Finance Bill, 2017. Hence, this get effective from the date 1st April, 2017.

Sir i also mean AY 2018-19 i.e. FY 2017-18. I quoted the same line mentioned in the Act with reference to amendment.
w.e.f FY 2017-18, i.e. 01.04.2017
