Carry forward of passed group in CA final old course to new course

I had cleared the first group of CA final in May 2011. Then I dropped out. Now I have revalidated my registration and wish to complete the course. Will the first group passed by me in old course carry forward to this new course or will I have to appear for both the groups again?

Quick Summary
If you cleared Group 1 of the CA Final old course before dropping out, your passed group will be carried forward to the new course. You will be exempted from appearing for Group 1 again. You can verify this on the SSP Portal. To complete the course, you will need to pass Group 2 and the Advanced ICITSS. Refer to the ICAI announcement for further details on exemptions.

Yes. you will be able to carry forward to new course.
Also it will be shown in SSP Portal that you cleared group 1. You can check in that for your satisfaction.

Group-1 will be exempted (i.e. not required to pass again in new course)

Pass Group-2 and Advanced ICITSS
