 Hi All,

I am a software engineer and already have 4 years of experince. I would like to take up CA exams and become a CA. My mathamatical skills have always been good. I want to know

1.)if it is possible to study for CA exams in my part time and clear CA exams.

2)Will my previous experince as s/w engineer add any value when i am looking for CA jobs?

3) what is the best/minimum time required to clear all CA Exams

Thanks in advance,

Narendra

rather than goin for ca u should go for mba or cdac it will give addition to your career

U can join for the CA course ; however your previous background and qualification may not get u any concessions. There is no escape from undergoing the Articleship training. There are several members with non commercial backgrounds who are doing well So there is no reason why u should n't .Visit icai @ org.in for more details Best of Luck in your endavours.

Karishma,

What is a CDAC course? Is it related to finance? I could not get much information in net on this. Can you provide some referance for this?

There are many chartered accountants with Non-commerce background. With the will and with no substitute for hard work anybody can do CA course. It is an heighly professional course and more happy to become a member of ICAI, a second largest accounting body in the world. Go ahead ....... all the best.

Go buddy go

Hi Naredra,

Shifting of career is not correct thing at this moment.  I am also a software professional  I have same thought of doing CA.  Joining in CA after completion of College (or) before  starting of your career then no issues.

Since we already in software line for so many years, we get a monthly income.  We cant loose our bread an butter and think of a new career, In this way we distract our selves and end up in nothing.  We do not get a good  monthly salary during article ship.

Unless you are not depending on your on monthly  income , then you can think of new career.

Thanks

Bharadwaj.
