Capital gains on ESOP

Respected Sir

One of our client works in a foreign bank and was allotted ESOP. He has now sold those shares on which TDS has been deducted but doesn't appear in the 26AS. The above was in foreign currency.

How do I show in capital gains and how to get affect of TDS deducted.

Please advise

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to report capital gains on Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs) when shares are sold in foreign currency. It covers issues with Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) not appearing in Form 26AS and provides guidance on reconciling TDS, obtaining deduction certificates, and ensuring ESOP-related TDS is correctly reflected, potentially within salary TDS.

After deduction of TDS return has to filled with in due date , check TDS was filled or not .
Ask for TDS deduction certificate from that foreign bank.
TDS deducted will be a part of tax deducted on salary if the employer is showing ESOPS as perquisite. Kindly reconcile with Salary TDS whether the ESOP TDS is included in it.
Reconcile whether tds has been deducted or not
Yes...
