hi everybody,

an NRI has sold a plot in india and now is investing the sale consideration for purchase of residential house in america.will he be eligible for for capital gains exemption u/s 54 F.

Hi Vinod,

I afraid that tha NRI cannot get the benefit of 54F as the investment to be made in property situated in India.
