is it compulsory to avail the benefit of indexation in case of long term property. is there any option to calculate LTG Without indexation. since tax rate is 10%.

the word used in section 48(mode of computation of CG) is "in case of LTCG,the COA and COI shall have the effect of indexation"......
--shall have the effect--
hence,it is compulsory to avail the benefit in case of LTCA!😅

so without indexation is not possible. for calculating LTCG In case of sale of property. 10% lower tax rate is not applicable
