Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to report taxable long-term capital gains (LTCG) from bond sales on tax returns. It explains that for individuals or HUFs whose income isn't from business or profession, this information should be entered in Schedule CG, specifically under the bond sales section of the Capital Gains statement within ITR-2. For those with business or professional income, the reporting is done in ITR-3 under the same schedule. The advice is to consult the relevant ITR schedules for precise column placement.
If the person is individual or huf and the source of income is not business or proffession then ITR 2 in B2 FOR SALES OF BOND of LTCG of schedule CG for capital gain
if the person is individual bor huf and the source of income is business or proffession then ITR 3 in B3 FOR SALE OF BOND of schedule CG for capital gain
