Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the capital gains tax implications for a client who acquired agricultural land in New Mumbai, which was then compulsorily acquired by the government. The client received residential plots as compensation and now wishes to sell them. Experts confirm that a long-term capital gain (LTCG) will likely arise upon the sale of these plots. However, the exact calculation of LTCG cannot be determined without knowing the acquisition date of the original agricultural land.

LTCG will arise
Sure?
Yes sure, LTGC will arise.
Yeah...
Don't worry
Transfer of capital asset leads to capital gain .
Here the resident individual has not mentioned in the query when he has acquired the plot . He has sold the plot but the exact date is not mentioned.
So LTCG CONCLUSION CANNOT BE MADE.
LTCG will arise
YOU CANNOT COME TO AN ACCURATE VALUATION OF THE LTCG , SO ITS IRRELEVANT.
