Dear All, I am Kalpesh Pawar, I have competed MBA in HR and currently working as a recruiter. I have completed my graduation in B.Com with 61 % marks and wish to enroll for CA Course. As per my knowledge, 9 months practical training is compulsory under direct scheme to qualify for IPCC written examination. I don’t want to go for 9 months practical training option, due to personal reasons. I can’t resign my job at least for 1 year. Dear Kalpesh, direct scheme is introduced for the benefit of the students. If ur circumstances are such that u cant opt for direct entry, u can choose cpt route. Direct Scheme is not a compulsory option as far as I know. Just bcoz u got above 55% in graduation, it doesnt mean that u have to necessarily choose direct entry option. So what u hv to do now is to register 4 cpt dec exam, clear it & write ipcc in nov 2014. After u clear 1st grp or both grps of ipcc(results for nov 2014 will be declared in jan or feb 2015), join articleship.This way u can postpone articleship to more than 1.5 years.
