Yes. Returns filing is mandatory at the time of cancelling. So, You can file your GST returns....

You ll go to Amendment section. You can made any changes in that section including cancellation. But This option is not available now. You can check it in your profile section....

I would like to cancel my GST no , as I am migrated from Service tax and now no liable to pay tax.(serivce tax < 20 Lakh), If I raised in between any invoices , GST need to paid and need to file return. Will it effect cancellation later on , Will it categorize me a voluntary GST tax payer ?
Cancellation option started on GST Portal....
