dear all ,

my father is a retired govt employee and he gets pension through SBI . During the financial year 2012-13 SBI deducted TDS from his pension approx 10000 rs. but deposited only 700 rs against his name in income tax dept.as per the form 26AS . we have submitted his IT Return and as per the form 26 AS we claimed for the refund for only rs 700. and when we come to know about the fact fron his pension statement that the SBI mistakenly not submitted the actual amount of rs 10000 in ITD . Now the income tax dept has paid us the refund as per our claim . when we bring this in notice of SBI , the bank is ready to rectify its mistake.

now my question is can we revised our return after the assesment ??

Dear i think yes you can do same as your f.y is 12-13. I am not sure but it can be done in sec 154. Also While filing return of income electronically, an option comes in which you can mention in which year you want to claim TDS. So, you can claim it in next year, irrespective of TDS deposited in previous year. I suggest you to wait for more replies. Let me also check what can be done in this case. Regards
the processing u/s 143(1) is different from assessmeny u/s 143(3). return cannot be revised after assessmnt has been made. in ur case, return has been processed so u can file revised return.

yes you can do it as it is allowed by income tax department itself i am giving you here point e from note given in the intemation u/s 143 (1) of one of my friend pls see

3) If you are not satisfied with the intimation u/s 143(1), you may seek rectification as per section 154 by filing an online application for
rectification, for which details are available on website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in with your User ID and Password and choosing
Rectification Request under My Account section.
