Hello

I am planning to setup export business with one of my friend as a partnership firm. My friend and I, both have individual pan card. Do I need to apply separate PAN card for my partnership firm. Or I can use either one PAN card or both pan card.

As export license require the PAN card for Partnershipfirm. But I am confused with the term 'Applicant entity'.

  • Copy of PAN card of the applicant entity.

Documents for Partnership firm

  • Digital Photograph (3x3cms) of the Managing Partner.
  • Copy of PAN card of the applicant entity.
  • Copy of Passport (first & last page)/Voter’s I-Card /UID (Aadhar Card)/Driving Licence/PAN (any one of these) of the Managing Partner signing the application.
  • Copy of Partnership Deed.
  • Sale deed in case business premise is self-owned; or Rental/Lease
  • Agreement, in case office is rented/ leased; or latest electricity
  • /telephone bill.
  • Bank Certificate as per ANF 2A (I)/Cancelled Cheque bearing preprinted name of the applicant entity and A/C No.

Yes Ankit, you have to apply for the PAN card of the Firm, as it is different entity from you and your partner.

pan card for the firm is required

Right. The only option is to apply for PAN Card in the name of your partnership firm. You can't use your own PAN Card since the firm is separate entity from you and your partner.

you have to apply for new pancard in the name of your entity
