Is it legal to claim rent on two houses one where I am living and other one where my parents are living? Both houses are in different states.
and if this is not legal then what are the penalties can be imposed?

Can be claimed only one house property where you are working.
It will be disallowed and taxed for the disallowed salary income, added to it interest and penalty of equivalent amount.
