I have to raise an invoice to university, Can i charge service tax on it ? ( bcoz some one told me that University is exempt from Service Tax)

THAT SERVICE CHARGES ARE NOT APPLICABLE FOR UNIVERSITY

u'll hav to charge service tax...if ur service is a taxable service....
exempt services r spcifically stated and that does not include university!!
Firstly tell us what kind of services you provide to university becouse your service must fall within the ambit of service tax and then only you can charge service tax.
