Can huf claim 80c deduction??

If HUF has given a cheque for PPF which is in the name of Karta, can it (HUF) claim that deduction in 80C?

deduction under 80c is availavle only to a individual and**HUF** upto 1. 5lakhs

Yes, HUF can claim deduction refer point no.5 in attachment.

Huf can claim 80c benefits on LIC other avenues but not ppf..it is withdrawn 2015 itself. running account are also closed...
