Hi,

It is a known fact that Balance sheet signing date of Subsidiary should always be before the Balance sheet signing date of Holding. However, I would like to know if holding company can conduct AGM before the AGM of Subsidiary?

Thanks.

Holding company can hold agm before subsidiary and meeting will be adjourned for one item adoption of financial statements . this other compliances can be made

thanks

Is there any reference for this in companies act or rules?

Refrence to adjournment is in section 103 but that is due to non availability of members. here word adjourn means "temporary ending of even with intention to complete at another time . this general law meaning . however it differs from section 103 that meeting is held but for one item meeting adjourned which is lawful
