Can foreign company be indian company

A foreign co cannot become an Indian company, as for an co to be ab indian co the registered office of teh co shud be situated in India.
Indian Company means a company incorporated under the provisions of Companies Act, 1956. Foreign Company is incorporated under the companies Act of their nation. Though a foreign company runs its business in india it will not be treated as the Indian Company.
