can cost accounting be managed without coaching?

ya...definitely self study will help but select a good author's book and plan well and study SMART...u can clear that subject with wonderful colors

yes you can really manage with cost accounting, as i feel coaching will help you till a certain extent only as there is always something new in each question in costing, so you need to practice a lot and try please do the previous year questions of the CA exams. they will be of great help.

Use Vashisht and Saxena's book or Padhuka's book for costing and fm......supplement it with scanner or compilation...if u are gonna go for padhukas, u need not use scanner as the book itself contains questions from past exams,rtps,etc.

there is no substitute of self study. u can refer saxena vashisht for costing.

you can very well manage costing by self study and use Saravana Prasad book don't forget to refer compilation/scanner..... very useful...
