Hi,

Can a COP holder take a job offer in a company without relinquishing the COP status?

What are the implications if the COP status is maintained?

regards,

Not possiable dear its  misconduct under CA Act,1949.

Agreed . It is a misconduct. However, it is not compulsory to surrender the COP to institute,  you can keep your COP with you and just intimate to the ICAI about taking up your job.

In that case your COP will be held as Part Time COP but then you are not allowed to do attestation and certification.

Practicing CA can't work as Director or Consultant for a Public or Pvt Ltd Company

2 type COP are issued by institute i.e part time and full time . a person emloyed else where can take part time COP .Furthermore permission of institute is required in some cases

I don't agree with mr. Prateek, A full time COP holder can take assignment of a company as a consultant charge fees as professional fees. He can become a director in a company . Public Opinion is required...
