Sir,
One of my friend is engaged in coaching students. He also sells books to them during admission.
Suppose, if the bill amount is 10,000 , 6000 will be for tuition fee and 4000 will be for books. on which amount should i compute service tax ( on 10000 or 6000 ). ?

On tuition fees of ₹6K service tax will be applicable.
