calculation of gratuity can be made by the formula as: LAST DRAWN SALARY X NO.OF YEARS SERVED X 15 / 26
 

Here the number of years served should be treated whole year if he crosses six months For example if a worker completes 7 years 7 months means the no. of years shall be 8 years ; if he is 7 years 5 months then it shallbe 7 years.

Here the elegibility of gratuity is he/she should have completed 5 years - here if he/she  served for 4 years  and 8months, he is not elegible for gratuity - he should have strictly completed 5 years.
