Last Date for CA Foundation Registration for May 2018 attempt was 31st December 2017
And, Last Date for CA Foundation Registration for November 2018 attempt is 30th June 2018
Your son is not eligible for May 2018 attempt, as you said he has not registered himself.
One more thing there is no use of provisional registration, as your child will be allowed to gaive exam but his result will not be declared, Except If your son wants to get experience of Exam then he can use provisional registration.
I know this coz at the time of my CPT it happens with me. ICAI didnt declare my result.
