In my opinion Its not like that CA involves more or less hardwork...CA and CIVIL SERVICES are all together different field with different requirements and objectives...ca is a professional course wheres IAS is an exam.
In CA ur result depends straight forward on your hardwork and not on the work of other candidates (if we trust that ICAI dont alter or fixes any pass percentage) whereas in competitive exams the selection process is designed in a way that your performance counts but equally the performance of other candidates count in deciding your rank. So competitive exams are designed in different manner than CA.
Yes, your this point is correct that CA don't carry any reservation (till now) and that's a good thing but even in Civil services the general candidates are selected ( may be only 50%)
no. of attempts also matter...just imagine that in CA if they restrict our attempts to 4 like IAS...To kya hoga !!!!!!!!!!!
nd IAS is comfortable job is also a misconception...some posts may be but not all...they carry there own pressures, risks & hardwork.
