Expanding Horizons for CA’s in Global market.

It seems that the recession is not over yet in the global markets. Still its difficult to grab a job outside India. I got questions through PM like:

  1. Can a CA get a good job abroad like MBA gets.?
  2. What is the scope of Job? What type of Job? In finance or in Accounts?
  3. Are the Jobs in Gulf Countries good for resume?
  4. and many more.

·                    Now a days after a massive Hit of recession in USA, now it’s a turn of Europe. No doubt India is being affected by any recession as we have most of the MNCs’ of the world.Big Giant companies are having their establishment and factories in India. So it will impact the Jobs in India’s also.

·                    Some thinks that we get Jobs easily and so its not called Recession.  But practically its not like that. Recession hits directly or indirectly. Its possible to get a job but with a  less pay scale or by giving choice of your interest etc.

·                    Many have a wish to work outside. But some thinks about the scope of CA is limited to India. Now its not like that. ICAI is signing MOUs’ and so importance and value of CA is recognised worldwide like CPA, CFA , CMA. CIMA etc.

·                    In last Campus of ICAI, pay of 70 Lacs crossed all the boundaries and even crossing the salaries of MBA. Now it’s a time to come out of India and not just sign certificates by sitting at the office.

Many companies have started trainings for the freshers which provides training worldwide.

Hardly anyone is aware of such training. Big companies like ALSTOM, ABB, SIEMENS, TATA, HSBC, GE etc provide such trainings. In such training at the young age, one can get a good exposure globally. Also with a good pay. For such type of training do visit web sites of the company.

Getting exposure from a Gulf countries is also very good. You can get very good pay and also after experience of 3-4 years you can come back to India. Definately it will add value to your resume.

Most important is don’t think that you have got everything after you get your CA degree. Its just 1/3rd of the way covered. For the second 1/3rd you got to have second degree in hand. And to cover up everything a good exposure.

So to build up career fast and strong, at least have 1 more degree with CA.  Competition is increasing in markets. To get the best, you have to be best.

What you said is right. Nice explanation..Thank you.

Nice article shivang.

Can anyone tell what will be the best degree to go for after completing CA.

Can do short term courses and after experience of 2 years. go for MBA from a good university.. dont do MBA for sake of doing it....

I want to make a career either in the field of  finance or taxation after clearingmy CA.

What type of short term course should  i go for which i can do along with the job.

Plz guide.

Anand.. there are many certificate courses in tAxation.. go for international taxation..Its carried in ICAI branch only..also you can do DTP cartification course for taxation.. its very demanding.... IN finance, there is a vast scope.... I will advice for MBA...

IN taxation you have to be updated with provisions regularly... so in job its difficult.... Thanks to CCI that i am able to keep myself updated here...

But first my friend complete CA first than do other stuff...

Thank you........ yes my first preference is to be a Chartered Accountant.

I have seen many seniors in my hostel who have cleared CA n are not able to find good jobs. So i was little worried.

Yes thats the concern point....

Do not wait for the Campus. start searching on Internet as you clear your exam... try to grab every opportunity... do not be choosy for 1st year... as in starting you need to get experience.. For the best position you should have experience..... Do not worry you will get job easily..

Best of luck

Thanks a lot.

nice article sir and it's really true.recently passed out ca,s are facing many difficulties not only in abroad but also in india like lower packages, campus placements. now a days companies are not moving towards institute.
