Exchange rate given African Rand 6 to rs1.
Inflation African 40% a year and India 10% a year. How they find exchange rate( as per IRP )?
Ans. 1st year 7.6364
2nd year 9.7190
3rd year 12.2696
It is solved as follows:
Year 1 6*1.4/1.1=7.6364
Year 2 7.6364*1.4/1.1=9.7190
Year 3 9.7190*1.4/1.1=12.3696

as per Inflation rate parity formula
Exchange rate * inflation rate of foreign country / inflation rate of domestic country becoz exchange rate is foreign currency per domestic currency
hmmm i have solved Practice manual of CA final but never found any question of this type.
