Better planning (keeping in mind the time avilable and time to be allocated to each subject) and execution  of the same religiously.

Sufficient practice of numericals,understanding thorougly the concepts,preparing own short notes of all subjects,multiple revision of theory papers (though not mugging but almost the same,by understanding the topic) and lastly most important- Recalling and Writing practice of all subjects (not just doing audit and read).
