Can anyone tell me that as Excise rates & Service Tax rates have been changed to 8% so which rates is appicable for Nov 2009 exams as in June 2009 85 rate was not appicable so now for Nov2009 exams which rate are appicable...

Important case laws for ca final exams Nov 2009 for Direct taxes and Indirect taxes required.
For November 2009 exams excise rate applicable is 8%. As the same was effective from 24 feb i.e. before 30th april 2009.
All the amendments made effective before 30th april 2009 is applicable for november 2009 exams.
