Hello,

I am CA final student and my attempt due in November 2014.

I have Munish Bhanderi's Handbook which is " 14th edition february 2014" and applicable for may 2014 exam. My quetion is whether this book useful for november 2014 exam ! whether it cover amendments useful for nov 2014 exam or I have to purchase new?

Chapter IX and X of the Companies Act 2013 has been made applicable vide announcement dated 20th May 2014. Obviously it will not be covered in Feb edition of your book. Hence, purchase new one with amendment later than 20th May

Several sections of d new companies act 2013 ll b applicable from nov 14 xamz.. So u hav to buy new one..n it is stil not in market by munish bhandari..in mean time u can refre practice manual for new sections..

U can refer supplementary issued by institute regarding new sections of companies and can continue studying with old book because companies act 1956 is applicable for nov 14 exams only new 48 sections of co.s act 2013 would be applicable that would be sufficiently covered in the supplementary booklet u can download it from site

If u dont get exemption in law in nov 14 ....then further u will hav to buy new book...look at applicability of sections and take ur decision...nov 14 only 2 chaps r changing...but in may 15 there is a comprehensive change in syllabus

MB law book for nov 2014 with companies act 2013 isnt yet released and is yet be released in september. So it is better to refer supplementry material of companies act 2013 issued by icai with the old MB book.
