was q5(b) wrong. as per icai study mat total capacity is 10000 machine hours. as per question total capacity is 10000 hours.

is machine hours and hours one and the same thing. I don't think so.
I had asked the same question from more than 2 famous teacher of costing but they are giving the Std. reply as if they have just rote the icai study mat and doesn't even bother to read the question came in exam

Hi Shubam Maheswari,

I have seen the QP, In the 10th line of the question they say that "The machine can produce only 16toys per hour".And in next line, they said that "The company has a total capacity of 10000 hours". So based on the 1st sentence, obviously, it should be assumed as machine hours only, and there is no chance of assuming like Labour hours or something else...(Chill...)

for eg. is km or passenger km 1 and the same thing.... I don't think so....
if u read the line which specifies bottle producing capacity of machine......
compare this question with the question given in ICAI AMA &OR practice manual..,. u will find the difference......

if it's so obvious than why it is specified in detail in icai pm..
assuming 10000 hours as total capacity/ time available could have been 2nd option
